During the interaction, Hilary addressed society’s double standard when it comes to a woman’s late pregnancy. She questioned why no questions are raised when men have babies in their 80s. Speaking about the same, she said:
“There’s a lot of backlash women get for having children older but not men, which is interesting. Men have babies in their like 80s, and that’s not a euphemism or a joke.”
Hilary Swank welcomed her twins, Aya and Ohm, at 48. Going forward in her interaction, the actress recalled how a woman questioned her late pregnancy as she asked, “How dare you? You’re too old”. The woman told Swank that she lost her father when she was 20, and Swank attempted to relate to the woman’s position without taking offense at her statement. In her words:
“I related to it because my dad [has] also passed, but he was one of my favorite people on earth. I thought to myself, ‘well, I would rather be born and have that person that was my favorite person and experience that than not at all.’”

The actress also revealed that she would have been a completely different parent if she had embraced motherhood earlier.
