Holly Willoughby revealed that her husband, Dan, often asks her to wear sexier lingerie, which isn’t the color of a cup of tea. The 45-year-old talked about it on the YouTuber Alex Jones’ show. She revealed that her bras are older than her kids, and any lingerie she has is at the back of her drawer as they don’t fit anymore. She said:
“I’ve got bras that are older than my kids. Dan said to me the other day, he went, ‘Are we going to get any bras that aren’t the color of a cup of tea? Are there any others that exist?’ No, there aren’t.”
Holly shares three children, Harry, Belle, and Chester, with her husband. She revealed that wearing that lingerie is just a memory. She added that they are at the back of the drawer and not coming out anytime soon.
For those who don’t know, Holly was once a famous lingerie model before transitioning to a television presenter. She was the face of a Pretty Polly campaign in 1998. She again portrayed lingerie in 2018 when she prepared to start her lifestyle brand, Truly. However, later, she stepped back to focus on her broadcasting commitments.
A while ago, Holly shared a PDA moment, wherein her husband, Dan, wanted to give her a sweet kiss as she got ready for the National TV Awards. The couple shared a moment as Dan went on to give her a quick kiss, but her makeup artist shouted not to kiss Holly as her makeup would spoil. Holly told Dan that she would see him on the stage. For those who don’t know, the couple has been married for 19 years.
Coming back to Holly’s journey, she was 18 when she started working as a lingerie model. She also appeared on the covers of teen magazines and in catalogs. Holly revealed in 2013 that she was spotted by a modeling agent during her school trip to the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham.
Holly then went on to present for S Club TV and Ministry of Mayhem, and won a BAFTA award in 2006. She called it luck that she was able to get into the industry, as modeling was a hard field to break into back then. However, she was never able to see the dark side of the industry. She said:
“I appreciate it was down to luck that it happened – modeling is a hard field to break into these days, and I’m grateful I never saw the dark side of the industry. It opened a lot of doors for me that I never thought were possible.”
But she never said that she won’t do modeling in the future after the birth of her daughter. She added that when she started as a model, she worked for a safe brand Pretty Polly. And after having her second baby, she thinks that she might consider restarting it. She shared:
“When I started as a model, I did a lot of lingerie work, but it was for Pretty Polly, which is a very safe brand. It’s been less than a year since I had my second baby, so I would need some time to get in shape, but I would consider it. Having the time to do all these things is the real problem.”
