EXCLUSIVE: Hollywood Dead’s Johnny and Danny have revealed that the band will be gearing up for a UK tour next year, while also treating fans to new music

Hollywood Undead rockers Johnny and Danny have revealed UK tour plans. The news came just two weeks ago, the American-based rap rock group dropped their latest track, Feels Like Home, arguably their most vulnerable track since their debut single, No. 5, in 2008.

Like most people, the group has endured its own struggles, but Johnny admits that the group has never been afraid to open up and reveal its vulnerable side.

“We’ve always tapped danced around all that stuff,” he told the Mirror, adding: “I think the majority of our music we actually listen to is more in that lane, so it’s very natural for us. We’ve had Bullet, The Diary, once in a while you’ve got to let that outside therapy.”

Danny added: “We go through hard times, sometimes, life can get rough. When it does, a song comes out of that, and hopefully it connects with somebody out there that might be going through a rough patch in their life, and that song is about being in the trenches and how you get so used to being there, that it almost feels normal.”

Speaking at Download Festival, their first UK performance since the coronavirus lockdown, Johnny revealed that next year, fans of the group will be treated to a full UK tour next year. He said: “We’re coming back at the top of next year to do a full UK run because we haven’t done one since before the COVID time, which is weird to even think about.

“But it’s been a really long time, I’m really looking forward to seeing our fans and the people we know out here.” But while the UK has recently been experiencing warmer weather, Danny joked that after two weeks in Europe, today was the warmest weather they’d experienced during their slot.

And a fresh UK tour isn’t the only thing fans can expect. “We’re doing a fall tour, we’ll probably put another song out,” Johnny said, adding: “We’re going to put out an album at the top of next year. None of the songs we put out will be on it.

“It will be completely different.” Addressing their most recent tracks, he explained that they are just singles and the group will continue to drop new singles ahead of their album next year. “I think it’s going to come out while we’re here, so that will be very special for somebody,” he said.

Danny joked: “We’ve got some plans for you, UK.” Their upcoming tour will feature new tracks, with both Danny and Johnny joking that fans will ask them to “stop playing these new songs,” while they will happily play their hits for crowds.

Reflecting on their set at Download, Danny said that it had been an “amazing show,” as Johnny joked it had been a “big improvement”, as there hadn’t been any rain; instead, they brought the Californian sunshine across the pond with them.

With festival season kicking off, both Danny and Johnny had some stellar advice for people preparing to spend their summer in festival fields. Johnny said: “The hygiene issue here is probably the big one, bring some baby wipes or some body wipes. I don’t know, people stink. So you don’t want to smell, you know what I mean? Bring a bottle of cologne or perfume. I don’t know some sanitiser.”

Danny, however, added: “A little deodorant goes a long way…” “I would just say hygiene, after three days of the mud, it gets funky,” Johnny joked.
