Singapore: Honeywell Aerospace (Nasdaq: HONA) announced today it has signed a three-year agreement with PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk to provide repair and maintenance services for Honeywell Aerospace’s 131-9B, 331-350 and 331-500 auxiliary power unit (APU) models across Garuda Indonesia’s aircraft fleet. This agreement builds on Honeywell Aerospace and Garuda Indonesia’s longstanding partnership, while establishing a multi-year framework for APU repair support for Garuda Indonesia.
The arrangement provides Garuda Indonesia with greater repair-cost predictability and defined service expectations, supporting the airline with more effective maintenance planning over the three-year term.
“Consistent, predictable maintenance support is critical in helping airlines plan maintenance effectively and keep their fleets operating reliably,” said Eric Ai, president, Asia Pacific, Honeywell Aerospace. “This agreement enables Honeywell Aerospace to provide that support to Garuda Indonesia through a clear multi-year framework and represents an important next step in our longstanding relationship focused on supporting the airline’s operational needs.”
Auxiliary power units provide electrical power and conditioned air while aircraft are on the ground, supporting aircraft and cabin systems during boarding and turnaround. As an original-equipment and lifecycle-service partner, Honeywell Aerospace supports airlines from the systems installed on their aircraft through ongoing repair, overhaul and upgrades. This includes a global network of 26 repair and overhaul facilities, including facilities in Asia-Pacific, and more than 100 commercial air transport channel partner locations.
