As the Colts have already started a midseason fire sale, running back Jonathan Taylor could stay put for the year.

According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Taylor trade talks are “most likely” going to end with the running back staying in Indy.

This anticlimactic projection stems from the Colts not — as of yet — receiving any top-value offer persuasive enough to make them trade the three-time Pro Bowler, according to Pelissero. The insider already reported the team shot down a deal for a second-round draft pick.

Teams that have reportedly shown interest in Taylor include the Giants (as reported by The Post), Vikings and Broncos.

The 2021 All-Pro back became the star of this season’s trade rumors, as the Colts began the year with an abysmal 2-6 record. The trade rumors continued to swell each week, and it got to the point where Taylor’s wife, Ayanna, has addressed it in multiple videos.

The Colts have been big sellers this season, already sending long-tenured All-Pro offensive guard Quentin Nelson to the Seahawks for third- and fifth-round picks and trading defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the 49ers for a fourth-rounder. They are also fielding offers for starting quarterback Daniel Jones, ESPN reported Saturday.

This all came after the team fired general manager Chris Ballard earlier in October.

But Indianapolis fans might be able to breathe easier as Taylor staying put becomes increasingly likely.
