Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, celebrated the graduation of nearly 150 students from the class of 2026. Actress Kriti Kharbanda was the chief guest in the ceremony, attended by parents, teachers, alumni and guests. Students were recognised for their academic performance, leadership, creativity, resilience and contributions to the school community. Principal Dr Skand Bali said, “graduation is not merely the culmination of academic years. The school sought to prepare compassionate and resilient learners ready for the future.”

TG Deecet-2026 Phase II web options will remain open from June 19 to 20 for admission to two-year D.El.Ed and DPSE courses, while certificate verification for unverified candidates is scheduled for June 18. The facility is open to those who joined colleges under Phase I, candidates who did not submit options earlier and candidates who did not secure a seat in the first phase. Applicants may edit their options on June 21. Seat and college allotments will be released on June 25 and students should report to the college between June 25 and 27 and classes will begin on July 1.
FIR registered against goat sacrifice at festival; PETA intervenes
Siddipet police registered an FIR after a video posted on Instagram allegedly showed a goat being killed during Peddamma Bonalu celebrations at Khazipur village, while PETA India asked police to add provisions of the Telangana Animals and Birds Sacrifices Prohibition Act, 1950, to the case.
PETA India said it worked with Adulapuram Goutham of Stray Animal Foundation India (SAFI), Siddipet commissioner of police Rashmi Perumal and the Bhoompally police. Bhoompally police booked the case on SAFI’s complaint under BNS and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. PETA India’s lead cruelty response coordinator, Sreekutty Raje praised the police for the FIR.
