Crystal Hefner, the late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s widow, is once again in the spotlight after she recently revealed some shocking details from the time she was still living at the Playboy Mansion. In an interview with Page Six, Crystal Hefner reveals that if she could change one thing about her marriage to Hugh Hefner, it would be that it did not happen in the first place. She confessed that she asks herself daily why she went ahead and married Hugh, who was approximately 60 years older than her. According to Crystal, Hugh chose her because he thought he could easily manipulate her. Crystal shared:
“If I could go back, I absolutely wouldn’t have [married Hugh]. I came from a broken home. I didn’t have a father. And I know now that Hef chose people he could easily manipulate, like that was it.”
Crystal met Hugh for the first time during a Halloween party at the Playboy Mansion in 2008. They formed a bond after speaking privately, and Crystal soon moved to the infamous LA estate and became one of his girlfriends. She was even named Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for the magazine’s December 2009 issue. The duo got engaged in 2010, when Crystal was 24 and Hugh was 84.
While the pair briefly put a halt to their wedding plans, they reconciled and got married in 2012. Crystal claimed that Hugh purposely sought partners who weren’t as smart as he was. Back then, she always wondered why he did not want women with the same level of intelligence as him. But she soon realized that if he were to do that, it would become harder for Hugh to control them. She added:
“Hef allegedly had a high IQ. I always thought, why didn’t he want somebody that was at his level intellectually? And it’s because those people are harder to control. So he chose the women that came from broken homes and broken backgrounds.”

While speaking on the Lisa Guerrero Unleashed podcast, she shared:
“There were times that were really uncomfortable for me in the bedroom. In the bedroom, things would happen that ended up just not being OK.”
During her appearance on the podcast, Crystal Hefner claimed that Hugh’s fantasies often involved multiple women and activities that she believed were “disgusting.” Many of the things that happened behind closed doors left Crystal feeling physically uncomfortable, and she said that the experiences left her in pain afterward.
When asked by the host if she thinks she had been raped by Hugh Hefner during their relationship, Crystal revealed that she was compelled to do whatever her late husband wanted.
