
HYDERABAD: Gachibowli police arrested 11 persons for allegedly assembling unlawfully in connection with a land dispute, creating fear among the locals in the Nanakramguda area.
Police said on receiving information they immediately reached the spot and found that 11 persons were behaving aggressively, disturbing public peace. They failed to give a proper explanation and obstructed the police from performing their duty, prompting the officers to detain and shift them to Gachibowli police station. A case was registered against the accused under BNS sections 189, 132 and 270. The accused were later produced before the court.
Investigation revealed that Shivaprasad and Sreekanth Goud, employees of Janachaitanya company in Nanakramguda, called several people to the location in an attempt to settle a land dispute. Police said four of the accused have previously been involved in criminal cases.
DCP C.H. Srinivas, warned that Cyberabad police would not tolerate anybody attempting to take the law into their own hands and any actions that created fear among the public under any circumstances.
DCP advised that land and property disputes should be resolved through legal means. He clarified that strict action will be taken against anyone who resorts to force, intimidation or activities that disrupt law and order.
