Hyderabad: A 35-year-old constable allegedly died by suicide at Shalivahana Nagar in Moosarambagh on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Muthe Chandrasekhar, who was working as a writer at Amberpet Headquarters.
According to reports, Chandrasekhar spoke to a woman over a video call and allegedly told her that he was going to die by suicide. Worried by his words, the woman immediately informed the Chaitanyapuri police, who alerted the Malakpet police.
Police rushed to the spot and found Chandrasekhar hanging from a ceiling fan. His body was shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
The incident created tension in the locality. Police registered a case and launched an investigation. Further details are awaited.
