Hyderabad: Allegedly unable to bear the pressure of the NEET-UG retest on Sunday, a woman student died reportedly by suicide at her house in Miyapur, police said on Saturday. If confirmed, this brings to six, the number of students who have died by suicide nationwide.
Police said the student hailed from an Andhra Pradesh-native family. Her father lives and works in a Gulf nation. The student had taken long-term coaching for NEET and had taken the test last month. Family sources said she was unable to bear the pressure of the retest. Police said they recovered a suicide note that stated that no one was responsible for her suicide.
