Despite having to deactivate her social media accounts, Lee Andrews mum is determined to not let the trolls stop her from what she loves doing, which is communicating with the dead

Despite her son being missing for nearly two weeks now, Trisha Andrews is coming out determined to keep fighting – and communicating with the dead.

The mother of Lee Andrews has been subject to intense trolling online by internet sleuths trying to uncover her runaway son. Lee, 43, is married to Katie Price but upon meeting his mum, you would never guess her connection to the media storm.

While dealing with the agonising unknown of her son’s disappearance and a barrage of online abuse, Trisha is refusing to stop working as a clairvoyant.

Forced to make her social media accounts private due to the fallout, the 64-year-old appeared at the Midland Hotel in Mansfield on Friday, May 22, performing to a packed-out audience.

I attended the sold-out event and it left me entirely speechless. Thanks to the intimate setting, it felt as if we were sitting in Trisha’s living room having a chat. She brought a massive amount of humour to her show, somehow making devastating and tragic stories feel lighter – it is a real gift.

The room was so silent you could hear a pin drop. Located in a small function room in the hotel, with only a few rows of seats and a homemade buffet too, it was cosy yet thrilling. Trisha managed to make the audience of 80 people feel entirely included, eventually reducing almost everyone to tears with her powerful spiritual readings.

Now I am a real sceptic when it comes to things like this. But attending with my mum, Trisha knew things about my mum’s family and relatives that she couldn’t possibly have researched – she even knew my parents’ house type. She also had an uncanny knack for spotting health problems, identifying a medical issue my mum had faced just by looking at her.

Behind the scenes, things are far from normal. Ahead of the event, hotel organisers admitted they had been hit by a non-stop barrage of “prank calls” targeting the family.

It’s clear that Trisha’s new daughter-in-law has sparked a fierce family feud with the Andrew’s family, after openly airing her terrifying claims that Lee Andrews, has been “kidnapped” near the Dubai border.

Lee’s close-knit family are furious, accusing the reality star of “exploiting” his disappearance for drama. When a fan defended Trisha on Facebook, telling people to leave her alone because she isn’t responsible for “Price’s drama-queen antics,” Trisha hit back online, replying: “Thank you. It’s Katie exploiting and I get all the backlash.”

Family friend Rebecca, 45, told the Daily Mail that the family are “sick with worry,” slamming Katie’s decision to post public videos about the alleged kidnapping.

She said: “They are a very close family. Kelly (Lee’s sister) has taken the lead and is the one communicating with Katie and the Dubai police. She is trying to take the strain off her mother, Trisha, and I’m trying to support both of them through this worrying time.”

“The whole situation is so upsetting for them,” Rebecca added. “They are trying to stay off social media now. The lack of empathy and compassion in some of the online comments is honestly heartbreaking. Behind every post is a family hoping for answers. Seeing cruel jokes online only adds to their pain.”

Lee grew up in Mansfield in Nottinghamshire where Trisha still lives in a semi-detached redbrick home. His mother, Trisha, and father, Peter, 65, a former coal miner had a “troubled” relationship, and Trisha raised her son and daughter alone.

As a ‘geeky-looking’ schoolboy with a wonky fringe, Lee lived a childhood that never foreshadowed the man he’d become today. Until the early 2000s when he “did a runner” to Dubai to get away from ‘problems’ according to a family source, it was just the start of what was to come.

But the shocking claims by Katie that Lee has been kidnapped have provoked fury from Lee’s close-knit family, who have accused the reality star of “exploiting” his disappearance for drama.

There’s since been a twist in the case, almost two weeks on from Katie having filed a Missing Persons Report.

Lee had followed an American “biker babe” on Instagram, known as Mari Sol, who has since reportedly blocked him. Now, his phone is active, and WhatsApp messages to Lee are being delivered, showing two grey ticks.

The businessman’s dad has also hit out at claims that his son had been kidnapped, claiming that Lee had in fact been arrested in Dubai, which is why he was not contactable.

However, Katie later debunked this as “fake news”, saying her husband was still missing as she took to Instagram, posting: “Lee is still missing. Me and his family know what’s going on, and we’re working with the authorities involved.”

In a statement on her YouTube over the weekend, Katie said: “There’s nothing I can do, nothing more that I can say. And the police are dealing with it. I’m just leaving it to the police. I’m not going to talk about it anymore, I’m just staying quiet because it’s getting ridiculous now, people just taking the p**s out of everything. The police are now handling it, the British police, British consulate, the Foreign Office, Interpol they’re on the case looking for Lee.”

“All I can do is just get on with my life. I’ve got lots of exciting things coming up, and I’m just waiting for a call. What am I supposed to do, sit here and cry and do nothing, stay in bed? For my own sanity, I’m taking a step back.”
