Newcastle lad Jack Kay – better known as the Ibiza Final Boss – is apparently single again following his split from girlfriend Alisha Cook
Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay is said to have split from his girlfriend a year after he was catapulted to fame when a video of him dancing on a lad’s holiday to the White Isle went viral.
The 26-year-old became an overnight sensation when he was spotted busting his moves at a club on the Spanish island last summer. The video, said to ‘capture the spirit of Ibiza’, went on to be viewed more than 20 million times – and fans were fascinated with Jack’s distinctive ‘Lego’ bowl-style haircut, as well as what he could do on the dance floor.
Though he didn’t set out to be famous, the Geordie lad – who was working as a builder at the time – shot to stardom and is said to have made £1 million since being signed by TOWIE star Joey Essex’s agent when he landed back in the UK.
While girlfriend Alisha Cook previously seemed keen to get in on her boyfriend’s fame, posting a snap cuddled up to him with the caption ‘POV: ya boyfriend’s now known as Ibiza Final Boss’, it seems the pair have now parted ways.
Confirming he is back on the market, Jack told The Sun he is single again – but doesn’t see a Mrs Final Boss on the horizon for quite a while.
However, he is heading back to Ibiza again this summer, so could he meet a new lady there? “I might do, but I haven’t found Mrs Ibiza Final Boss yet – but probably a couple of years for that,” he said to the publication.
It’s the second time Jack and Alisha are thought to have split following reports last year that she dumped him and threw his clothes out before he went on the lad’s holiday that accidentally made him famous.
A pal of Jack’s told the Daily Mail at the time that the raver had already been “skating on thin ice” over his party lifestyle, with his fun-filled trip to Ibiza reportedly becoming the final straw.
They claimed: “Alisha called it off when Jack went to Ibiza with the lads. They’d been together for almost a year, and he was living at her place, but things hadn’t been right for months.
“His car is still on her drive, she threw all his clothes in the back of it. She doesn’t want him around anymore. She’s had inklings that something was not right for a while. She just wants to wash her hands of him. Alisha is so beautiful. No one is quite sure what she saw in him.”
This wasn’t quite the end of the romance, however, with debt collector Alisha hinting then that she was still very much with Jack, in TikTok clips which poke fun at her boyfriend’s newfound internet fame.
But it seems Alisha has finally had enough of his partying ways and it’s thought the pair couldn’t make their relationship work with Jack being in the spotlight so much.
In a new career challenge, the Ibiza Final Boss will put his reputation on the line tonight when he takes on rapper Jordan McCann in the boxing ring after two months of being sober. He was originally due to face Dapper Laughs – a comedian previously cancelled for his shocking comments about women – but will now take on McCann instead.
Jack is confident he will make a winning start to his new career as he makes his ring walk before Tommy Fury and Eddie Hall are scheduled to fight at 10.32pm.
Speaking ahead of the bout, he said: “I love boxing and I love fighting, so I’m going to make a career of this. I’ve signed a multi-fight deal, not just one fight, this is going to be a career change.”
He added: “Boxing is probably the hardest sport in the world and it’s not for the faint-hearted… I’ve put my head down and focused, and I’m ready to go. Don’t let the hair and the beard fool you, I can fight and I’m going to show that. I’m going to prove a lot of people wrong.”
