
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Idukki District Administration has urged residents and visitors to exercise extreme caution as torrential rains continue to batter Kerala.
Travel to the district has been restricted to essential purposes, while tourists already in Idukki have been advised to remain in safe accommodations and avoid sightseeing.
All tourism activities under the DTPC, including at Vagamon, Munnar Botanical Garden, and Panchalimedu, have been suspended until further notice. Adventure activities such as boating, kayaking, rafting, and coracle rides in reservoirs and water bodies have also been banned.
Authorities have further prohibited night travel in hilly regions between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. until the Red Alert is lifted, stressing strict compliance with official advisories to ensure public safety.
