The Rangers’ worst fears with Igor Shesterkin were confirmed Saturday.

Shesterkin, their $92 million goaltender, will miss the remainder of the season with a lower-body injury, according to the Rangers.

He exited in the first period of their eventual loss to the Capitals on Friday after jamming his right skate into the post while gliding across the crease, and Shesterkin wasn’t able to put any weight on his right leg as he was helped off the ice.

The 30-year-old opened the season with a 3-1 record, helping anchor the Rangers as they won four consecutive games and started to move past their woeful 2025-26.

But now, though, they’ll need to survive without Shesterkin. Joonas Korpisalo is expected to miss another four weeks, according to The Post’s Mollie Walker.

Spencer Martin, with AHL Hartford, is day-to-day.

That’ll likely leave the inexperienced Callum Tung, who recorded his first shutout with the Wolf Pack on Friday, to back up Dylan Garand for now, unless the Rangers sign a veteran.
