Hyderabad: Preparation for national-level competitive examinations such as JEE and NEET UG helped students crack the Telangana EAPCET 2026 with ease. The EAPCET toppers decided to take a call on which college to join after the national-level entrance examination results are announced.
M. Rushi, the Eapcet engineering topper, said that due to health issues, she could not clear the JEE Main. However, she said, she did not lose confidence and continued preparing for the rest with motivation from her parents, sometimes studying for nearly 18 hours a day. She added that she is currently aiming for an IT seat at JNTU-Hyderabad University College of Engineering, or CBIT.
Mukaram Ahmed, who secured first rank in the agriculture and pharmacy stream, said he was happy with his achievement. He studied in TMREIS institutions from his school days. His father is a private employee, and he lost his mother to a heart attack when he was eight years old. He wants to become a veterinary doctor as humans can speak about their problems, but animals cannot. “Who will take care of and understand animals?” he said, adding that he has had a strong bond with animals since childhood.
Engineering second-ranker Bejugama Anshul said he was happy with his result and that his main focus remains on getting into an IIT. He said physics was slightly difficult during the exam, but he managed well. Spending time with friends and playing games helped him reduce stress during preparation, he added.
Another topper, Maraka Vamsidhar Reddy, said there was a one-mark variation in the marks displayed immediately after the exam, which was useful, and the final result. He said he did not expect a third rank and would decide about college admissions later.
Agriculture and pharmacy stream topper Sahiti Geetika said her main focus was NEET UG preparation, as to re-take it and that she did not prepare separately for Eapcet . She said her NEET preparation helped her secure the rank. Though she expected a rank below 1,000, she did not expect to secure the third rank. She added that staying away from distractions and maintaining self-control are important for competitive exams.
Mayuk Jayasimha said he treated the exam as a normal attempt and did not expect fourth rank, although he felt he performed well. Since both his parents are doctors, he said he wanted to pursue MBBS since childhood.
