Sinitta has revealed that she has had a secret boyfriend for years. The So Macho singer, 62, hasn’t spoken much about her private life in recent years but has now admitted that she has been dating a man, who is not in showbusiness, for quite some time.
The pop star was recently seen completing in the I’m A Celebrity…South Africa jungle alongside the likes of Gemma Collins, Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas as well as Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard amongst a whole host of others and explained that she and her partner decided to “step back” once she knew she was going into a programme that would very much in the spotlight.
She said: “He’s much more afraid then I am. When I knew I was doing the jungle, we kind of stepped back a bit because he’s not in show business, don’t think wants to be in show business and you know I was doing something so high profile.

“He would be fine, you know he’s silly he’s got the best, worst, bad dad jokes and everything. He’s a character, he’s a funny guy, a Leeds lad. So he’s got a lot of personality but he’s just not used to the [industry].”
Sinitta was making an appearance on the Bank Holiday edition of Loose Women alongside anchor Charlene White and panellists Coleen Nolan, Olivia Attwood and Myleene Klass when she made the candid revelation.
When pressed for details on why she has kept her relationship away from the public eye for so long, the Toy Boy hitmaker explained it was a way of avoiding any pressurised situations that come with showbiz.
She added: “I wanted to protect him… and not just put him under that pressure but he’ll actually be fine, I found my little Harry Redknapp.”
During the height of her fame, Sinitta was famously in a relationship with music mogul Simon Cowell, and dated on and off for almost 20 years before calling it quits for good in 2013 and she spoke candidly of that time when she was in the jungle.
The singer admitted that while she “genuinely believed they were going to get married,” it just wasn’t to be. She added: “He wasn’t a faithful boyfriend. He won’t mind me saying it, because he knows, and I was very possessive.
“I feel like Simon loves me and cares about me, but it’s just… I think I romanticise everything. And then you see him with his partner and his baby, well, he’s a big boy now, and it’s like, wow, okay, everyone really does have their proper person. I was the right person for a time, but they’ve just got this whole level that we didn’t have.”
Sinitta has also been linked with the likes of Hollywood megastar Brad Pitt and singer David Essex, whilst she was married to Andy Willner from 2002 until 2010, and they adopted Zac, 19, and Magdalena, 20, together in 2007.
Meanwhile, Simon got together with Lauren Silverman in 2013 and they went on to become parents to Eric, 12, the following year before becoming engaged in 2021.
