Despite being fresh to the market, VIEVE’s concealer has already earned more than 100 five-star reviews from shoppers
I’ve worked exceptionally hard over the last 10 or so years to keep my skin in check, but one area of concern for me has always been my dark circles – a genetic problem area no amount of sleep, water, or brightening skincare seems to be able to fix. However, a reliable concealer can quickly take me from ‘death warmed up’ to ‘eight hours of sleep and two coffees deep’ – and my current eye bag-disguiser of choice comes from social media-loved beauty brand VIEVE.
I’ve tried countless concealers in my time as a Boots makeup counter assistant, Instagram content creator and beauty journalist, and let me assure you, they are not all created equal. But VIEVE’s new launch is one that could be well worth adding to your makeup bag.
Launched in September, the VIEVE Skin Nova Concealer is the latest addition to the brand’s complexion collection, coming in at £28. Designed to deliver buildable coverage with a naturally luminous finish, it’s a skincare-infused formula that promises to brighten, blur and smooth while still allowing your skin to look like skin.

The brand describes it as ‘your skin, on a really good day’, which is exactly what many beauty fans are seeking in 2026, with natural skin-like finishes leading the beauty trends. And with their skincare-powered formulas, it’s something that VIEVE has earned a stellar reputation for, so I had rather high hopes for their new Skin Nova Concealer.
The concealer comes in a flexible plastic tube as opposed to the sleek, hard plastic tube their Modern Radiance concealer comes in, which makes it feel slightly less premium by comparison. However, it’s not all about looks – the formula’s performance is most important here, and thankfully, it delivers beyond its expectations.
Skin Nova Concealer
YA lightweight, skincare-infused concealer with buildable coverage and a naturally luminous finish that brightens, blurs and melts seamlessly into skin.
The concealer boasts a lightweight, balmy texture, which blends effortlessly into the skin without feeling heavy. It has a lovely natural glow, too, ideal if – like me – you prefer a fresh, radiant finish rather than a matte base. This dewiness can also aid in concealing dark circles not only through coverage, but the light reflecting off the skin helps disguise their appearance, so it really is a double whammy approach.
Despite using the shade finder quiz, I found the shade 110 a little lighter than I’d usually choose for concealer. There are 24 to choose from, and while I’d opt for a darker shade next time, this one still works really well for brightening.
There are two main ways I like to use this concealer. The first is by applying it to my hand, working the product into a brush and gently patting into the skin where needed. This is particularly good for minimal makeup days when you want to cover dark circles and even out skin tone without having to put on a full glam.
But on the days where I am applying more makeup, I like to apply the VIEVE Skin Nova concealer directly to my face and blend outwards for higher coverage, more brightening and a more sculpted appearance. It can really help lift the undereyes and define contoured areas for a more ‘snatched’ appearance.
Despite its radiant finish, it didn’t crease or feel cakey, nor did I feel the need to keep checking whether it had settled into fine lines throughout the day. It feels comfortable and lightweight, which is exactly what I want from a concealer.
Alternative concealers worth considering
At £28, VIEVE Skin Nova Concealer sits firmly in the premium beauty category, so it’s worth considering how it compares with other popular options. If dark circles are your biggest concern, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is a popular alternative which has been on the market far longer, its place in makeup bags up and down the country being hard won. Priced at £29.50 at LookFantastic, it offers medium, buildable coverage and a radiant finish, making it a fan favourite for brightening the under-eye area.
For anyone who prefers a more affordable option, Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser Concealer is a well-known high-street alternative. Costing less than £10, its creamy texture and unique applicator make it a useful option for disguising tired-looking eyes without spending a fortune.
What shoppers say about the VIEVE Skin Nova Concealer
Despite being fresh to the market, VIEVE’s Skin Nova Concealer has already earned more than 100 five-star reviews. Dark circles are a recurring theme, with one happy customer writing: “Easily covers my nightshift dark circles and brightens my whole face. Love wearing along with the Super Skin Nova.”
Another shopper added: “Everything I’ve tried before has left me feeling cakey. This is such a smooth formula and im really liking the cover and blend. Dark circles gone.”
The formula has also won over shoppers looking for something that works with more mature skin. One customer, aged 59, gave it five out of five, commenting: “Just take all my money Vieve – another banging product that’s 5 out of 5. Love the component, very travel friendly. Looks great on my 59 year old skin and lasts all day.”
One reviewer praised how well the concealer blended but said the shade guide had let them down. They said: “Blends like a dream but the guide did me dirty and it’s too pale for me.”
Elsewhere, another five-star review read: “I used this concealer as my mam had bought it and WOW I am so impressed. It’s perfect for those no makeup days and you can tell this was created with skincare in mind.”
Overall, VIEVE Skin Nova Concealer has impressed me. It brightens dark circles, blends beautifully and gives skin a healthy-looking finish without feeling like I’m wearing much makeup at all. At £28, it’s not the cheapest option on the market, but if you’re looking for a concealer that combines coverage with a natural, skin-like finish, it’s well worth considering.
