Imran was last seen in Katti Batti (2015), marking a decade away from lead roles. Earlier this year, he made a cameo appearance in Vir Das’ Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. Speaking recently to The Hollywood Reporter, Imran revealed that he has wrapped shooting for his comeback film, Adhure Hum Adhure Tum.

He said, “I have just finished shooting a new movie. It’s my first movie in 10 years, and we’re in post-production right now. It’s called Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. It’s for Netflix and is scheduled to come out at the end of this year. It’s a grown-up romantic comedy… age-appropriate to where I am now.”

He further shared that instead of making his comeback with a typical commercial entertainer, he chose a story that reflects where he is in life today. The actor added, “I’ve just worked with a really great young actor, Gurfateh Pirzada. Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. It’s the one I simply had to make after 10 years.”

Adhure Hum Adhure Tum is directed by Danish Aslam, who previously collaborated with Imran on Break Ke Baad. The film also reportedly stars Bhumi Pednekkar. It is slated to premiere on Netflix later this year, marking Imran Khan’s first full-fledged acting project in a decade.
