Chiefs fans’ confidence
What a difference a few weeks makes. Last month, we ran the same poll, and 92% of Chiefs fans were confident the franchise was heading in the right direction.

That was before back-to-back losses, one in the closing seconds to a division rival after a fourth-quarter collapse by all three phases. It was also back when Kenneth Walker III looked completely otherworldly, not just really, really, really good.
It also doesn’t help that the Chiefs are coming off one of the worst statistical pass-rushing performances in recent memory. With the trade deadline around the corner, there is a feeling amongst some Chiefs fans that Kansas City needs to make a big move to keep from wasting a second straight year of quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ prime.
So this could also be where the low confidence in the direction of the franchise. There is also the fringe group of fans whose faith in Andy Reid is starting to waver as well, as some of his past game management warts are starting to creep back up again on a roster that is not talented enough to cover up the blemishes.
Whatever the reason is, there is only one way to raise confidence, and that’s by winning football games. They have a chance to start rebuilding the fans’ faith in them this week against the New York Jets.
Where to worry

It’s a little surprising to me that Chiefs Kingdom voted that 46% of you believe that Kansas City’s offense is their most worrisome unit right now. Especially coming off a game where the offense moved the ball relatively well against a really good defense.

Now, obviously, late-game coaching decisions and the ability to punch the ball into the end zone on the final play into the decision, but given the special teams unit’s gaffes in recent weeks, I was sure that they would be selected as the unit causing the most hand-wringing.
What this tells me is that Chiefs fans are worried that the offense’s issues are deeper and harder to fix than getting a new return man or kicker.
Chiefs Kingdom is worried that our offensive tackles are subpar and we are in desperate need of more top-end talent at the wide receiver position.
These things are harder to fix in season, and your votes reflect that.
