Coleen Rooney celebrated her 40th birthday in style. Her husband Wayne had been secretly planning a huge bash for the telly star and WAG at their sprawling Cheshire estate.
The former Everton and Manchester United ace pulled out all the stops to impress his wife of almost two decades earlier this month, with help from Cheshire-based events planner Julie Perry. In the lead-up to the big day, a huge marquee was set up in their front garden, with guests also arriving by helicopter.
Coleen and Wayne’s famous pals, including Tanya and Phil Bardsley, Leanne Brown, Annie Kilner, Abbey Clancy and Phil Jones, were all said to be on the guest list for the big event. Speaking to The Mirror, ahead of the Good Friday bash, which was attended by 50 of Coleen’s closest pals, a friend of the mum-of-four said she loves to party and will be up dancing during the celebrations. “Coleen parties like a good northern lass,” they said. ‘She’s a very normal girl at the end of the day – she just likes a good time and having fun. It will be epic.”
Chart topper Dermot Kennedy, who is one of Coleen’s favourite musicians, also took to the stage for the occasion.
