The NFL will go international for the seventh time during the 2026 season Sunday morning when the Cincinnati Bengals and Atlanta Falcons face off in Spain.
The Bengals (5-2) and Falcons (3-5) will represent the league as they open Sunday’s Week 9 of the 2026 NFL regular season from Madrid, Spain, on Nov. 8. The international matchup marks the first overseas Bengals game since 2019.

The matchup comes after the Bengals’ intense 43-36 overtime win over the Tennessee Titans on Nov. 1. The Falcons have continued to struggle this season. They lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16-0 in their Week 8 matchup. The game marked the first time an NFL team won a game without completing a pass in the Super Bowl era since Buffalo did so in 1974.

The Bengals will face the Atlanta Falcons at Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid for their first international game in seven years.

The stadium, which is home to Real Madrid, one of the world’s most popular and decorated soccer clubs, is Europe’s third-largest stadium behind the Camp Nou in Barcelona and Wembley Stadium in London. It has a capacity of 83,186.
