Wedding bells are ringing for Teja Sajja. The Hanu-Man star has confirmed that he is set to marry in December in a destination wedding in Udaipur. Revealing that it is an arranged match fixed by his parents, the actor says he wants the celebrations to remain intimate, away from the glare of the spotlight.
“It’s an arranged marriage. My parents have fixed it,” Teja said. The wedding celebrations will begin with an engagement in November, ahead of the December wedding in the Rajasthan city known for its palaces and lakeside venues.
BRIDE FROM OUTSIDE THE FILM WORLD
His bride-to-be comes from a family with no connections to the film industry. Her family is in the technology business, and she works alongside her father.“Her family has no connections with films, they are into tech industry, she works with her father,” he says.
Raised in the United States, she has largely remained removed from the celebrity spotlight that comes with being associated with a film star. And that, Teja says, is precisely what appealed to him.
“She was raised in USA and is totally unaware of the limelight and I liked that the most and wish to continue to keep it that way,” he reveals.
For the actor, keeping his prospective bride away from unnecessary public attention is a conscious choice. He wants to preserve the privacy she has always enjoyed.
AN INTIMATE DESTINATION WEDDING
Udaipur will provide the setting for the couple’s December wedding, with the engagement planned for November. Despite his growing popularity following Hanu-Man and Mirai, Teja has no plans to turn his wedding into a star-studded spectacle. “I have always kept my personal life totally private and would do the same with the wedding as well,” he says.
“It will be an intimate wedding with just family and close friends,” he says. The couple will host a reception in Hyderabad after their Udaipur wedding.
