IUML Ministers-Designate Offer Prayers Ahead of Oath Ceremony

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) chief Panakkad Sadiqali Shihab Thangal led a prayer along with the ministers-designate and senior leaders of his party.

The prayer was offered at Panakkad Hall in Thiruvananthapuram, before they left for the Central Stadium, the venue of the swearing-in ceremony.
The Muslim League, which won 22 seats, has been given 5 Cabinet berths.
Minister designate, and senior Muslim League leader P K Kunhalikutty said, “UDF has received a massive mandate. The hopes and aspirations of the people are certainly very high, the responsibility is also huge.
Kunhalikutty and his party had strongly backed V D Satheesan for the Chief Minister’s post.
“The main role is that of the Chief Minister. We will assist him in the service of the people of Kerala,” he said.
Several ministers-designate of other Congress and other allies had also offered prayers at temples and churches in the morning along with their families before going for the oath ceremony.
