Jack Osbourne has slammed claims he’s ‘grossly underweight’ after his I’m A Celeb appearance and insisted his weight loss transformation is ‘perfectly healthy’ in a furious rant
Jack Osbourne has hit back at claims he is ill and “grossly underweight”, insisting his more than four stone weight loss was “perfectly healthy”. In a sweary rant, the I’m A Celeb star slammed the suggestion as “f***ing insane”.
The 40-year-old took to social media on Tuesday to address his weight loss journey after going from 220lbs (15st 10lbs) to 155lbs (11st 1lbs). In the video, he said: “I cannot believe I’m having to actually make this f***ing video.
“If I see one more thing written about me saying how ‘I’m sick, I’m grossly underweight. What’s going on? It’s f***ing insane. I have lost no weight since I got out of the jungle doing I’m A Celebrity what, six months ago?”

He insisted that the only difference to his appearance in that time was that he had shaved his beard into a “creepy moustache”, showing off his face. “I’ve been the same f***ing weight. The only difference is I shaved my beard and opted for a creepy moustache. That’s the only f***ing difference.”
Jack also explained his weight loss journey: “Now if we want to back up and we want to get real f***ing personal, I’ve been consistently but slowly losing weight for the last three and a half years. I shot up to about 220 pounds three and a half years ago and decided that I wanted to make some changes. So I did. What’s the big f***ing deal? I’m five foot eight and a half and a 155 pounds (around 11 stone). It is perfectly healthy.”
The star said that his weight loss was down to a number of factors including training hard at the gym and taking up jiu-jitsu. He has also previously said that giving up drinking and getting clean from drug use was a factor as well. He documented his four stone weight loss on a TV show called Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie.
Jack isn’t the only Osbourne to hit back at those criticising their weight loss. After his sister Kelly attended the Brit Awards – in the wake of dad Ozzy’s death – several fans criticised her appearance.
Kelly, who was callously told she looked like a “dead body” after her Grammys appearance last month, replied: “There is a special kind of cruelty in hurting someone who is clearly going through something.”
She later spoke out again, this time sharing a post from Aerosmith star Steve Tyler’s daughter, Mia, who has publicly supported her following the backlash.
Pointing out that while grief can change a person, it doesn’t make their body the subject of debate, Mia’s post read: “How hard is it to not be a d**k? Public grief is not public property. Grief can change a person. That doesn’t make their body a topic for debate…
“Before you comment on someone’s body, consider the possibility that they’re carrying something heavier than your opinion… It takes real strength to stand in the public eye accepting accolades for their late iconic father and hold themselves together in front of the world…
“The least we can do is show the same grace in return. Kindness costs nothing. Cruelty costs character. It’s unsettling how quickly people will dissect someone’s appearance instead of honouring their courage.. If you have the kind of energy to comment, you have the energy to be kind. Choose accordingly.”
