EXCLUSIVE: Jade Thirlwall has revealed she’s been left completely gobsmacked after her debut single Angel Of My Dreams went viral after Kylie Jenner walked to the track during the Victoria’s Secret show
Jade Thirlwall has been left baffled after her debut single had a huge resurgence. The former Little Mix singer released her first single, Angel Of My Dreams, in 2024, which was nominated for Song of the Year at last year’s BRIT Awards.
But in recent days, the song has had a staggering resurgence thanks to none other than Kylie Jenner. The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan walked to the hit single during the recent Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, catapulting Jade to a completely new level of fame.
Since the now viral moment, which saw Kylie walk in the iconic Fantasy Bra on October 18, the track had 18,000 streams in just one day across the United States. After Kylie appeared on the catwalk, the streams shot up to 284,000 – a huge 1,434 per cent rise. Angel Of My Dreams later entered Spotify’s US Daily Top Songs at Number 197, two years after its release.

“It’s just been mental and I can’t believe what’s been going on,” Jade told the Mirror at the Mercury Prize Awards tonight. Sharing what advice she would give to younger women, Jade added: “Always believe in your dream and keep practising. You have to believe it more than anybody else.”
Meanwhile, Mike Sabath, who produced the track, told The Mirror that it was “crazy” to have two bodies of his work nominated at the awards. He was nominated with Raye’s This Music May Contain Hope.
“It’s crazy. I mean, England has been so good to the artists I work with and me, so I’m stoked,” Mike said. Speaking about Angel Of My Dreams, he added: “I’ve loved that song. England held it down with that song.”
Mike, however, didn’t know the song was on the US Spotify charts, adding: “Let’s go! I just learned that right now. And that’s very nice!” However, Mike couldn’t reveal too much about his upcoming plans, saying: “I’ve been very lucky – I’m working with some of the artists I’ve always wanted to work with.
“I’ve learned that when you do that, you have to sign an NDA, so I’m currently NDA’d up. I mean, me and Jade are locked in on the new record, which is going crazy. Raye and I… There’s things.”
Speaking about being in Newcastle for the Mercury’s, Mike said: “I’ve heard of the Mercurys for years. You know, as you can tell from my accent, I am American. But across the pond, I’ve been hearing about the Mercurys for many years, since I was younger.
“It was always like this kind of mystical, magical, very prestigious award. I’m super honoured to be here. I mean, I’ve got two albums of the year tonight, so it’s very, very special.”
Jade had also given Mike an insight into the North East, with him explaining: “The people are good here. I love the people here, and the accent’s a little different. A little different. I’m trying to tune my ear, but I’ll do my best. I love these nights ’cause I like to see everybody.
“I like to hang with the community, and it’ll be great to see Jade… I mean, it’s going to be so fun to see Jade, and be with Raye, and just kind of also get to meet some people I haven’t met before.”
