EXCLUSIVE: Jade Thirlwall’s producer Mike Sabath has revealed his joy at Angel of My Dreams getting the recognition it deserves and confirm big plans for the pair

Kylie Jenner has breathed new life into Jade Thirlwall’s debut single Angel Of My Dreams – and the tune’s producer is all here for it.

The former Little Mix star, 33, had huge success with the anthem as it reached number 5 in the UK charts after its release in March 2025. Now, after Kylie Jenner’s Victoria Secret’s runway appearance to the song, it has found a new lease of life stateside.

While Jade recently joked she is going to “milk the f***” out of her song’s resurgence, producer Mike Sabath is also buzzing at its newfound recognition in his home country. The music guru, who also helped produce Raye’s Mercury Prize-winning album, THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE, explained his pride at the Mirror at the awards ceremony in Newcastle.

Speaking to us on the Red Carpet, he said: “It’s great. I mean, I’ve always loved that song. England held it down with that song. You guys know it, so yeah, it’s great that Kylie Jenner dialled us in.”

And he revealed he has plans to bring more bangers out with the Newcastle native. “I’m working with some of the artists I’ve like always wanted to work with,” he said of his future plans. “And also, me and Jade are locked in on the new record, which is going crazy. We’re banging it out, you know, it’s [going to do] things.”

Opening up on the forthcoming record, Jade told the press at the event that she’s weeks away from heading back to LA to start “solidifying” the sound of her second album.

“[I’m] buzzing off my boobs!,” she said. “So, so excited. I’m a bit overwhelmed, to be honest – there’s a lot going on right now, but I’m very happy to be here! I’m busy writing [my second album] with Mike Sabath.

“We’ve been doing a lot in the summer, in between the little breaks in the festival run. I’m going to LA in a couple of weeks to start solidifying what this is going to sound like. So, still kind of early stages, but I love the writing process.”

And the producer also received high praise from Raye in her acceptance speech at the Mercury Prize Awards. On stage, she thanked him for his efforts and support before double down on her comments in her interview in the winner’s room.

When asked who she’d like to thank for helping her achieve the accolade, she said: “My collaborator Mike Sabath, who is just the most incredible producer ever. I said it on stage, but he really is.

“I’m so glad we’ve been brought together and we just make really good music and we have the best time doing it. So Mike Sabath, I’ve known him since before he had facial hair! We go way back [laughter].”
