The outlet spoke to the victims for a documentary titled Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret. The news arrives a year after similar allegations were made by a few other women in June 2025.

As mentioned, four women have recently made certain allegations against Jared Leto. Meanwhile, an old video of the actor making a joke about “high school girls” has emerged while he is trending for the latest allegations.
Notably, the accusations were featured in the documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood Dark’s Secret. But apart from the allegations, the BBC film also features footage of Leto performing with his band Thirty Seconds to Mars at Ex’Pression College in Emeryville, California, in 2013. The footage shows Jared inviting a woman on stage, and he tells her:
“Give me a hug, first of all.”
Jared then asks the woman to introduce herself. The woman responds by saying that she is from Los Angeles. A few moments later, Jared gives an impression of Matthew McConaughey and starts saying a phrase from the film, Dazed and Confused, released in 1993. Jared can be heard saying:
“That’s what I like about high school girls. I keep getting older, they stay the same age. Alright, alright, alright.”
Air Mail published an investigation in 2025 where nine women accused Leto of sexual impropriety. Several of them said they were below the age of consent at the time. The report followed weeks after LA DJ Allie Teilz posted on social media that Leto had assaulted her when she was 17. While other women made similar allegations, Jared’s representative dismissed the claims.

Following the arrival of the documentary, the BBC stated it verified parts of the women’s stories by checking with people close to them, including friends and relatives who said they heard about the encounters with Leto back when they happened. The network also said it had reviewed some photos and texts that it claims back up what the women described.
The victims featured in Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret say the incidents took place between 2002 and 2016. Leto, who is now 54, was in his 30s and 40s during that period. Notably, the identities of the victims remain a secret for now. On the other hand, Jared’s representatives responded through a statement on his behalf, which reads:
“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”
Apart from being an actor, Jared has also been active in the music industry. He has been a part of the band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, which has released six albums so far.
