Jelly Roll’s Wife Bunnie Tried To End Her Life Over His Infidelity Before Divorce, ‘If I Was Dead..’

Jelly Roll is one of the most renowned singer-songwriters we have seen in recent times, especially when it comes to country music. At present, he has found himself in the spotlight after he filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie Xo. Fans who had been following their journey for a long time were shocked to learn they had been married for nearly a decade. However, there was a time before their divorce buzz when Bunnie revealed that she had almost ended her life because of Jelly’s infidelity. 

Bunnie Xo nearly ended her life over Jelly Roll’s infidelity 

In her 2026 memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, Bunnie Xo shared all her vulnerabilities with her readers. However, the part that caught the most attention was when she revealed that she once contemplated ending her life. According to Bunnie, her marriage to Jelly Roll began to have problems only 2 years after they tied the knot in 2016. To make matters worse, amid their marital struggles, Bunnie had the feeling that Jelly was cheating on her, although he kept denying that he was unfaithful. 

Eventually, after Jelly Roll and Bunnie got into an explosive argument, the country singer decided to move out of their Nashville home. This is what set Bunnie off and led her further down the path of depression. She added that her suspicions about Jelly’s infidelity increased after he became “irate” when she showed up without notice at one of his concerts. According to reports, Bunnie later found out that Jelly Roll “had his ex-fling waiting for him in a hotel down the street.” It was Jelly’s best friend’s wife who confirmed Bunnie Xo’s fears, which she had for nearly 10 months, and this is when she thought about ending her life. 

Bunnie Xo felt that Jelly Roll would not care if she were dead 

After coming close to ending her life, Bunnie Xo realised that her marriage was not something worth dying for. At the time, she pulled herself together, packed her bags and moved back to Las Vegas after deciding not to call Jelly Roll out for his infidelity. But overcoming her pain was far from easy. She wrote in her memoir:

“The pain was so intense that I genuinely wanted to end it all.”

Bunnie claimed that she grabbed a bottle of pills at the time and thought about what it would be like to die of an overdose. She even revealed thinking, “Would J even care if I was dead?” When Bunnie did decide to move after overcoming this stage, it marked the beginning of their three-month separation. Following this, it was Jelly Roll who caved first, contacting his wife and coming clean about all his faults. But to Bunnie’s disappointment, he still did not admit that he was cheating on her with his past partner. Still, Bunnie Xo caved and got back together with Jelly and willingly returned to their Nashville home.

Unfortunately, Jelly Roll betrayed Bunnie’s trust once again. She revealed that she caught the singer cheating when she realised he was texting and calling his ex. At that point, Bunnie decided that she would no longer give him a chance to come clean about his unfaithfulness. Instead, Bunnie Xo went on to directly get the details of the affair from the woman Jelly was cheating with. She wrote:

“And out of everything, that’s what made me sick. It wasn’t about him f-cking this broad — it was about emotionally cheating.”
