Friends star Jennifer Aniston has reached out to her ex-husband Justin Theroux after he became a father, almost a decade on from when their divorce was finalised
Jennifer Aniston has reached out to Justin Theroux after he became a father. The Mulholland Drive actor, 54, was married to Friends star Jennifer, 57, from 2015 until 2018 but, along with his new wife Nicole Brydon Bloom, 32, took to social media to reveal that they had welcomed a baby boy.
Captioning the black and white image of the tot laying on Justin’s naked chest, in a bid to have skin to skin contact, they jointly said: “He’s here.” This was followed by a dove of peace emoji.
The couple were inundated with messages of congratulations from friends and fans alike, and then Jennifer, who was also famously married to Brad Pitt in the early 2000s, was also quick to weigh in on the matter.

Justin and Nicole had received more than 32,000 likes on their viral post, and one of them came from Jennifer herself, having shown her support by hitting the famous red heart button next to the photo.
Justin enjoyed a low-key wedding last year to Nicole, who is famous for roles including Agent Jane in HBO’s Paradise, eight years after his divorce from the The Morning Show actress. The pair married on a beach in Tulum in Mexico and nine months later, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together.
At the time the gender was kept firmly under wraps. The pair went public with their pregnancy in December last year after Nicole showed off her baby bump at the season two premiere of Justin’s Amazon Prime show, Fallout.
Back in February 2023, they were first spotted together and the following year speculation of an engagement hit fever pitch after she was seen with a ring on her wedding finger.
According to American media outlet People, the actor gave her a four-carat diamond engagement ring by jeweller Stephanie Gottlieb. In 2018, after three years of marriage, Jennifer Anniston and Justin called it quits. The couple never had a family together. But last year, the actress, famed for her many roles in romantic comedies, shared why she had not considered adopting a child.
According to a previous interview with the Hollywood star, she claimed that she chose to not adopt because she desperately wanted her “own DNA in a little person.”
She also revealed that she had endured many rounds of IVF but was tragically unsuccessful. During an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, she explained: “When people say: ‘But you can adopt’. I don’t want to adopt. I want my own DNA in a little person. That’s the only way, selfish or not, whatever that is, I’ve wanted it.”
And this was the point where co-host Monica Padman asked Jennifer if she has finally found “peace” with her fertility journey. In response, Jennifer said: “It’s so peaceful. But I will say there’s a point where it’s like out of my control. There’s literally nothing I can do about it.”
She added: “It [having kids] just wasn’t in the plan, whatever the plan was. It’s very emotional, especially in the moment when they say ‘that’s it,’ because there is a weird moment when that happens.”
