Jennifer Lawrence launched her Instagram account back in September 2026 and warned her fans (playfully) that she would leave the platform if someone said anything negative.
Dakota Johnson jokingly commented ‘slut’ and it instantly grabbed significant attention. It was a friendly banter; however, over the years, Lawrence, like every other celebrity, has faced online criticism and trolling. While Lawrence’s jokes often make people laugh, she recently claimed that she rage-baits others too.
Jennifer Lawrence admits having a secret social media account, from which she rage-baits ‘strangers’
Yes! Apparently, Lawrence has a burner account from which she tends to argue with others. The Die, My Love actress recently revealed her little secret. Before she launched her Instagram, Jennifer admitted to being a ‘lurker’. She shared that she used to have an anonymous profile, with the help of which she would just watch videos. The actress stayed away from social media for the majority of her life as she wanted to keep her life private.
Jennifer Lawrence shared that she didn’t wish to put herself out there for no reason at all. However, the actress recently admitted to having a secret account where she argues. On the Call Her Daddy podcast, she said she has a burner TikTok account that she uses to argue with social media users.
When the host, Alex Cooper, asked her about it, she admitted to having that account while adding that she rage-baits people, something that she will continue to do. Lawrence could be quoted as saying:
“I think I’m just going to, like, take that live. I think I’m just going to—it’s about time I just take the mask off.”
In the same interview, Jennifer Lawrence was asked whether she ever got into a fight with a celebrity through her secret account; the actress said she hasn’t and that she only argues with ‘strangers’ every day. Jennifer Lawrence’s argument topics are historical, including Victorian ancestry. According to J-Law, her responses depend on the situation.
Lawrence’s FYP includes content on lengthy skincare routines, hair videos, and recipes. Jennifer Lawrence also joked that she spends more time rage-baiting others than simply watching videos. She joked, “If I am breathing, I’m rage baiting.”
Why did Dakota Johnson troll Jennifer Lawrence when she joined Instagram?
Lawrence, who will next be seen in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, revealed that she would never be on X (Twitter). The reason she decided this was that she described herself as not being very good with mobiles or technology. Back in 2014, speaking about her decision not to be on social media, Jennifer said:
“I will never get Twitter. I’m not very good on phone or technology. I cannot really keep up with emails so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me.”
Years later, Lawrence decided to make her debut on social media. It came with a threat that she wouldn’t listen to anything negative; Dakota Johnson’s comment on the same grabbed significant attention, drawing backlash as people kept wondering why she called the actress a ‘slut’. Later, in an interview with Vogue, Dakota Johnson revealed that it was an inside joke between the two of them from the time when Johnson was living in New York while filming a movie.
Apparently, Lawrence was passing the building Johnson was staying, and no sooner did the former let the latter know, she opened a window, screaming the same word. Johnson said she has video showing Lawrence was surprised when she screamed the word from the window, and she hopes she could put it out there sometime.
