Jennifer Lawrence shared that her experience of working in Hollywood hasn’t always been all roses and sunshine. She revealed that many of her male co-stars got ‘offended’ because she refused to get physically intimate with them. During an episode of iHeartRadio’s Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang podcast, Jennifer revealed that those co-stars even ‘punished’ her for turning down their offer. In her words:
“A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t wanna f— them and then the punishment starts.”
The Hunger Games actress didn’t explicitly say what kind of punishment she meant, and she didn’t reveal which co-stars put her in such situations. Though she kept their identities hidden, she name-dropped Robert Pattinson, but for a positive reason. 36-year-old Jennifer Lawrence, who worked with 40-year-old Robert Pattinson in Die My Love and even shared some sensual scenes with him, said he was nothing like the co-stars she mentioned earlier.
Jennifer recalled her time filming Die My Love with Robert Pattinson, describing him as ‘not pervy.’ The hosts asked the actress whether she and her co-star used an intimacy coordinator while filming the movie, to which she replied that they didn’t. She shared that she felt so safe with him that she didn’t need anybody to guide them through the intimate scenes. Jennifer added that, like other male stars, he didn’t take her friendliness to be a sign that she liked him.
The actress could be herself while filming with Robert Pattinson. Jennifer was glad they shared similar values and could talk candidly about their kids and family. She added that he is so in love with his wife, Suki Waterhouse, that he doesn’t have ‘pervy’ thoughts about other women. Jennifer Lawrence was quoted as saying:
“I felt really safe with him. He [Robert Pattinson] is like not pervy and very in love with Suki [Waterhouse], and so we were mostly like talking about our kids and our relationships, so there wasn’t any weird, ‘Does she think I like him?’ If there was a little bit of that, I probably would have had an intimacy coordinator…but he was not like that.”
