For the uninitiated, at 41, Jennifer tied the knot with Singapore-based businessman William Ishmael. The Shaque: Trust No One actress shared that she always believed in love even after her divorce from Karan Singh Grover. Jennifer explained that one cannot give up on love at any age because the emotion is not restricted to only one form or one relationship. She said:
“I have always believed in love since I first got to know what love is. Love, for me, is not just a partner’s love, but love of the family and friends. As you grow older, you realise how important the love of friends and family is. Love is not confined to just romantic relationships.”
In the same interview, Jennifer explained how a person should never lose hope after a heartbreak. According to Jennifer, heartbreak is not the end of one’s life. She shared that just like friendships can have fights and ups and downs, romantic relationships also go through the same phases. The duo’s first meeting happened through mutual friends during a barbecue thrown by the Singapore-based businessman in Wales. Jennifer reportedly met William while she was still married to her first husband, Karan Singh Grover.
For the uninitiated, Jennifer and Karan got married on April 9, 2012. However, in 2014, they parted ways. Later, in 2015, the former couple finalised their divorce with mutual consent. Jennifer gave another chance to love and began dating William in 2023. After a few days of dating, William proposed to his ladylove, Jennifer. The proposal took place at a beach in Koh Samui. An insider close to Jennifer and William once told Hindustan Times that the two were very happy together.
The source revealed that William proposed to Jennifer during a holiday, and she said ‘yes’. The source added that the two were planning for the wedding. Fast forward to July 16, 2026, Jennifer and William tied the knot in the same church where William was christened in childhood. Speaking to The Nod, Jennifer shared that she visited the church many times when she was in Wales. Every time she went there, she felt calm, peaceful and comfortable.
For the UK wedding, Jennifer opted for a white bridal gown, while William looked handsome in a classic navy-blue suit paired with a cream waistcoat. The wedding gown had her pet dogs Oliver and Breezer’s names too. In fact, it also featured her and William’s names alongwith their wedding date. A few days back, on September 18, 2026, the couple celebrated their wedding reception in Goa.
For the wedding reception, the Shaque: Trust No One actress opted for a deep purple bralette-style choli and flowing bright coral-pink lehenga, paired with a matching sheer pink dupatta, while William Ishmael opted for a sky-blue kurta paired with a white embellished dupatta and pyjama.
