Jeremy Clarkson has issued a health update after he was seen being rushed to hospital and hooked up to wires in the trailer for series five of his show, Clarkson’s Farm
Jeremy Clarkson has issued fans with a health update after the latest Clarkson’s Farm trailer revealed a recent terrifying heart scare. In the teaser, the star was rushed to hospital in an ambulance and then seen hooked up to wires as he explained that his heart wasn’t getting any blood.
Now, the 66-year-old has opened up about his “fraught” year. Whilst on Heart Breakfast, Jeremy was told by host Jamie Theakston that he “looks very well” given the “couple of health scares” he recently had.
“Yes, it’s fat jabs. I look like a Lowry painting,” he replied, before telling Jamie and co-host Amanda Holden that he had a difficult year but was on the mend now. “It was quite a fraught year last year, but no. I’m absolutely fine now. Tickety-boo.”

The heart problems seen in the Clarkson’s Farm trailer started in 2024, when Jeremy was taken for treatment after one of his arteries became “completely blocked”. He underwent heart surgery and had a stent put in to restore blood flow.
At the time, he claimed he was “days from death” when he was taken from his home in the Cotswolds to a hospital in Oxford. He added in his Sunday Times column that he felt “weird” after the surgery: “It’s weird, lying there and feeling a metal pipe with a camera on the end wiggling its way round your shoulder and through your chest.”
That heart surgery will be discussed in the next series of Clarkson’s Farm – the first four episodes will hit Prime Video on 3 June, with two more instalments the week after, ahead of the final episodes on 17 June.
In the trailer, Jeremy told Kaleb Cooper: “You’ve got three arteries that feed your heart to keep it pumping. My heart wasn’t getting any blood.”
Elsewhere in the Heart Breakfast chat, he teased that the new season was “the most dramatic” yet, insisting: “It gets more and more dramatic towards the end. I’ll say no more than that because we’re not actually doing any PR for this series at all.
“I thought farming when I first started, what, seven years ago, you just drive around in a Range Rover, went to the pub occasionally and moaned about the weather and then in February went skiing.
“I thought ‘well that’s easy I could do that’. And then I started doing it and it is unbelievably difficult. And I’m lucky because I’ve often got a film crew here so there’s a lot of people.
“But when there isn’t a film crew here you start to realise ‘God I’m all on my own all day.’ Literally all day six in the morning until midnight.
“And then you think ‘oh God there’s no money coming in,’ because there isn’t.”
He continued: “You worry about money, you’ve got no one to talk to, you’re on your own. It’s not like most people that work in an office or a shop or wherever, a factory.
“These guys are on their own worrying all day long that the weather is not right and that another subsidy is gone and they’re being forced to grow bird food rather than human food.”
