
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Gurajada, Vizianagaram (JNTU‑GV), has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Nirman Organisation to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and enhance student employability through skill development aligned with industry needs.
Under the partnership, JNTU‑GV and its affiliated colleges will conduct employability programmes, career guidance sessions, technical training, internships, placement drives, soft skills and communication training, and leadership development initiatives. The collaboration also covers entrepreneurship development, innovation, startup incubation, hackathons, faculty development, workshops, seminars, joint research, and industry interaction programmes.
The MoU extends beyond students, aiming to organise skill development and employment programmes for unemployed youth, including ITI, diploma, and degree holders, thereby improving career prospects.
Mayur Patnala, founder and global CEO of Nirman Organisation, expressed satisfaction over the collaboration, stating that Nirman is committed to providing quality training, industry exposure, and placement support. Vice-chancellor V.V. Subbarao said the initiative would significantly boost employability, strengthen industry–academia partnerships, and create better career opportunities through practical learning.
The programme was attended by registrar incharge D. Rajya Lakshmi, directors, principals, heads of departments, faculty members, and representatives of Nirman Organisation. University officials expressed confidence that the partnership would generate more employment opportunities and contribute to students’ overall professional development.
