The Timberwolves won their third consecutive game in New Orleans on Friday, but lost Joan Beringer during the first half when he took an elbow to the nose.
The French starlet was struck while guarding Trendon Watford during the second quarter of the NBA Cup tie, and was later diagnosed with a fractured nose and ruled out for the rest of the game.
Beringer still lined up to take his free throws with blood pouring from his nose in the immediate aftermath.
