Hyderabad: Brig. N.R. Babu, newly-appointed director of the Telangana sainik welfare department, met V. Seshadri, principal secretary to the Chief Minister, at the Secretariat to discuss key issues faced by ex-servicemen.
Brig. Babu proposed setting up a Telangana Ex-Servicemen Corporation to improve employment opportunities and provide additional support. He also urged that the long-pending State Sainik Board meeting be held soon, noting delays have affected coordination and welfare services.
Seshadri responded positively and assured that the matter would be placed before the chief minister. The director also requested filling vacant posts in the department and reducing the qualifying cut-off for ex-servicemen in TGPSC exams from 40 per cent to 30.
