Joe Marler teams up with Jacamo to launch a brand new collection of men’s holiday clothes, and it’s all about helping them look good whilst encouraging men to compliment each other
November is all about changing the shape of men’s mental health, but June is men’s mental health month – challenging outdated notions of masculinity and encourage open conversations. And with Father’s Day approaching, it couldn’t be a better time for Joe Marler to launch his new menswear collection with Jacamo. Not only is it full of great holiday-ready pieces for the men in your life, but his campaign has a fantastic mental health message behind it.
Joe has backed the Get The Nod campaign which encourages men to compliment each other more, with research from Jacamo revealing that 70% of UK men believe they should praise each other more, but traditional masculinity and “classic British awkwardness” hold them back. However Joe’s new Jacamo campaign proves you can look good, feel good – and maybe tell your mates they look good too.

Joe said: “Blokes are brilliant at taking the mick out of each other, but we’re not always great at saying something nice. Somewhere along the line, a lot of us got the idea that complimenting another man is awkward or a bit weird, when actually it costs nothing and can make a massive difference.”
He also added: “I’ve played rugby for most of my life and dressing rooms are full of banter, but confidence doesn’t just come from people having a laugh at your expense. Sometimes it’s hearing someone say, ‘You’re looking sharp today’, ‘You’ve smashed that’, or ‘You’re doing a good job’. Those little moments stick with you.”
Joe fronted the Jacamo collection to show that style can spark these positive interactions amongst friends, and to prove that something as simple as your outfit choice and help build your confidence. The collection embodies Joe’s signature style, which of course means that shorts galore are included in the line up.
From tailored, structured pairs that nail the smart-casual brief, to easy, breezy comfortable pairs with elasticated waistbands that are perfect for around the pool or taking in some sights on holiday. Everything in the collection is available in inclusive sizing from small to 6XL to ensure everyone can feel their best.
If the inclusive sizing range is what draws you to Joe’s Jacamo campaign, there are several other great places to shop that have a broad range of sizes. Next offers a Big and Tall range which is packed full of items to suit all body types, with everything from suits and formal wear to casual items like hoodies, shorts and Tshirts. Meanwhile ASOS has over 1500 pieces in its men’s plus size range where you can shop everything from breezy holiday co-ords to every day staples, tailoring and loungewear.
Aside from his love of shorts, the Jacamo collection also taps into Joe’s easy, laid-back feel, with pieces that you can style up or down wherever you are. Lightweight knit polo tops can be worn during the day with shorts, whilst the casual stripe shirts will see you through the day and into the evening when paired with some chinos. You can also shop plenty of relaxed linen-blend pieces that’ll keep you cool and comfortable on holiday or in the UK’s heatwaves, whilst still looking sharp and put together.
Joe added: “You don’t need to suddenly become best mates with someone or start having deep conversations. It can be as simple as saying ‘nice jacket mate’, complimenting someone’s haircut, or giving them a nod to let them know they’re looking good. The more normal we make that, the more confident and comfortable men can feel in themselves.”
