Jon Stewart Credits Trump’s AI Poop Video For Recent Democratic Wins

Ever since he returned to the Daily Show desk last year, Jon Stewart has had the difficult task of reporting on increasingly existentially terrifying news in a manner that’s still appropriate for a cable channel with the word “Comedy” in it.

But Stewart actually seemed downright optimistic about the state of the world on the latest episode of his podcast, The Weekly Show, thanks to the recent spark of life shown by Democratic party.

Tuesday’s elections saw the party make a “clean sweep in the three biggest contested elections in the United States.” And, of course, progressive candidate Zohran Mamdani won the New York City mayoral election, defeating a wacky vigilante and the bad guy from The Mask.

Stewart also said that he attributes at least some of the Democrats’ newfound success to AI-generated shit.

“Are you hearing something in my voice?” the comedian asked listeners. “You may be hearing something in my voice. Maybe something called ‘Hope.’ That’s a little bit of hope. Hasn’t been in there in a while.”

Stewart remarked that Tuesday’s election was “the kind of election night that I haven’t seen since I was a kid,” delivering “clear, decisive, really I thought, positive results all across the board.”

“I am not a political consultant,” he continued. “But it may be that when the President of the United States tweets out a video of him dumping diarrhea on the American public, they find that slightly dismissive.”

Stewart was referring to President Trump’s Truth Social post from late October, which consisted of an AI Top Gun parody video of him wearing a crown while piloting a fighter jet, dumping payloads of liquid poop on “No Kings” protest attendees. In addition to upsetting defenders of democracy and basic human decency, it really pissed off “Danger Zone” singer Kenny Loggins.

“And maybe that’s what all this is,” Stewart added. “I don’t know about the argument of populism versus security state. Democrats or moderates– all that. But I think I do know that the arrogance and dismissiveness and chaos and incompetence of this administration’s first year has to have a result. It has to. And it seems like it does.”

Good news for the Democrats: knowing the President, we can’t imagine that this will be the last fecal-themed post that we’ll get.
