Fans are concerned for Jordan Stephens after he snapped at a fan, telling her to ‘shut up’ when she commented on one of his videos amid his break up from long-time girlfriend Jade Thirlwall
Jordan Stephens has sparked concern after furiously snapping at a fan weeks after his split from his long-time girlfriend Jade Thirlwall.
The 34-year-old took to TikTok to rant after a concerned fan had written on a previous video that he always seems to “whinge”. Jordan said: “A woman called Hannah just left a comment on my last video, saying: ‘All you do is whinge. Why don’t you just enjoy life?'”
He scoffed and then turned very serious, ranting to the camera: “Well, I mean, Hannah, why don’t you shut up? Why don’t you shut up? I do enjoy life, that’s the plot twist and I enjoy complaining, that’s my main thing. Why don’t you enjoy your life? Where do you live? Not in a threatening way, I’m intrigued as to how you have that outlook with the current settings. Anyway, I’m going to go to the woods.”
In his prior video, shared only a few hours earlier, Jordan said he was having an “existential spiral” about how technology “peaked in 2004” and how we don’t need the technology we have now.
Fans hopped in the comments of his rant about ‘Hannah’ to share their concern for the star. One sarcastically said the musician was “taking the divorce well”, while a second said: “I’m worried for you x”. One fan said they felt Jordan’s last few posts had worried them too and that they “hope you are doing well”. A fourth added: “Hey are you ok? Hope everything is ok.”
Another defended Hannah, agreeing: “All you post is negative stuff”. But one pointed to the breakup with Jade and argued: “Has he not just split from the lovely jade sure he’s allowed to whinge if he wants.”
Jordan and Jade broke up in July after six years together. Jordan confirmed the situation, despite admitting he doesn’t like speaking about it in public. He labelled being in a high-profile relationship “complex and difficult” before hinting there could be more to come.
He made the admission on an episode of his podcast Miss Me? with Miquita Oliver. He told his co-host: “I think I’m uncomfortable with even the concept of it being out.
“I’ve never experienced. I’ve never been in a high-profile relationship, really, so I think I’m very conflicted because I definitely pride myself on being open and transparent, and I like to pull apart experiences of my own in the hope that it can create insight or create conversation.
“But I think this is a difficult one because if I’m to believe how quickly speculation can arise. I’m always like a couple of words or sentences away from either making something worse.’
He admitted he does plan to discuss it further, saying he will do “once things have settled a bit”. And he said he will do so because he is “not going to avoid something that’s quite obvious that’s been a thing”
He went on: “I don’t want to like pretend like that isn’t happening or hasn’t happened but I also want to make it clear that it’s so bizarre. I’m a very transparent person and things will come out when necessary and I don’t mean to be too cryptic, it really isn’t that deep, well I mean it is deep for me but I mean I think it’s really important that whatever you may think as an everyday normal human…
“Like how complex and difficult relationships can be, there’s no difference; you don’t get any exemptions. There’s no unusual subjective feeling when you also have followers. It just doesn’t work like that. Grief does not or anything like that or any powerful emotion doesn’t discriminate.”
