Actor Jr NTR sustained a shoulder injury while shooting an intense action sequence for his upcoming film Dragon on Monday evening. The incident occurred during the latest schedule of the Prashanth Neel directorial, one of the most anticipated pan-Indian films currently in production.

Doctors advise complete rest

Following a detailed medical evaluation, doctors have advised the RRR star to take complete rest for six to eight weeks to ensure a full recovery. The recommendation comes after specialists assessed the extent of the injury and determined that adequate rehabilitation is essential before he resumes filming. The news understandably sparked concern among fans. However, Jr NTR’s PR team assured everyone that there is no cause for panic. They confirmed that the actor is recovering well and that regular updates regarding his health will be shared whenever necessary.
The injury is expected to keep Jr NTR away from the sets for nearly 50 days. If his recovery progresses as planned, he is likely to resume shooting for Dragon in September.

Dragon remains one of the biggest upcoming films

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Dragon is mounted on a massive scale and features Jr NTR in the role of Luger, a ruthless assassin operating in the post-Independence underworld. The film explores the illegal international opium and heroin trade and stars Anil Kapoor as a Narcotics Bureau chief. Rukmini Vasanth plays the female lead, while the project is slated for a grand theatrical release on June 11, 2027.
