Juha Miettinen’s Last IG Post Surfaces Amid His Death In Verstappen’s Nurburgring Race ‘Ready For..’

Juha Miettinen’s death has left every motorsport enthusiast in shock. The legend passed away after facing a tragic crash at the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) race. The incident occurred during the opening stages of the ADAC 24h Nurburgring Qualifiers 2026, leaving the racing world stunned. Max Verstappen was also a part of the race, but it was immediately stopped after the multi-car collision. While racing fans and professionals are expressing their condolences on the accident, Juha’s last Instagram post has come into the spotlight, which he shared just hours before the race. 

Juha Miettinen shared his views on NLS hours before his death 

Juha Miettinen shared his last Instagram post just hours before he died in the race, giving fans an insight into his mindset. He shared a video of his car and shared the intensity of the upcoming sessions. At the same time, he mentioned that he was “ready for the N24H Qualy races.” Juha also revealed his hectic schedule, where he had two races in two days, one stretching into the night and another early in the morning. He explained that he would be an ideal way to experience the unique challenge of the Nurburgring endurance format. In his words:

“Ready for the N24H Qualifying races. Two races in two days. The first one into the night. The second one way too early in the morning, just so you get a taste of that Nurburgring 24H race feeling…”

The Instagram post also carried a tone of excitement, highlighting his deep connection with the iconic track. After the accident, several users shared tributes in the page’s comments section. One user wrote, “Most of the people here, including me, did not know you before this, but we are all united under the passion of motorsport and sad to learn one of us got trapped again by the green hell. Rest in peace, Juha.” Another person commented, “Very sad news, I hope his family and friends are supported through this, as well as their privacy is respected.”

What caused Juha Miettinen’s crash?

The crash occurred at the start of the race, involving seven cars on the Nürburgring circuit. According to the organisers, the race was immediately red-flagged to allow emergency teams to step in. Juha was driving a BMW 325i, and he was immediately taken out of his vehicle and taken to a medical centre. But, despite the best efforts from the emergency services, they could not revive him, and he was declared dead. 

Meanwhile, other drivers were taken for precautionary medical checks, and officials later said none of them sustained life-threatening injuries. According to initial reports, the crash may have been caused by fluid or oil on the track, leading several cars to lose control in a high-speed section. For those unaware, the Nurburgring usually has a narrow layout and challenging corners, leaving little space to avoid the race once it starts.

He was a regular competitor in the NLS, where he was admired for his consistent performance and mentorship in the racing community. In his youth, Juha was also a talented footballer who played at the college level. But eventually, he became famous at the Nürburgring for his love and commitment to the sport.
