Kakinada: Kakinada Two Town police on Friday arrested social media reel creator Kunche Prabhu Teja, popularly known as “Kakinada Kurrodu”, along with Kunche Nani and Perugu Anjali alias Rani, in connection with the murder of a man identified as Mojju Satish.
Addressing to police, Satish’s body was initially found under suspicious circumstances. However, the post-mortem examination confirmed that he had been murdered. Satish worked as a helper for Prabhu Teja. The accused allegedly suspected Satish of stealing ₹30,000 in cash and three mobile phones. Police said Satish had neither returned the stolen items nor money and had also abused Prabhu Teja.
On May 9, Prabhu Teja, along with the other accused, allegedly assaulted Satish, strangled him to death and later transported the body on a two-wheeler through routes without CCTV surveillance. They dumped the body under a tree on Sambamurthy Nagar 2nd Street to conceal the crime.
