‘Kala Mahina Tha…’ Sourav Joshi Breaks Silence On Divorce Claims With Avantika Within 7 Months

India’s one of the biggest and richest YouTuber, Sourav Joshi has been in the headlines for all the wrong reason. It all started after fans noticed that his wife, Avantika Bhatt, wasn’t part of his daily vlogs. Later, Sourav stated that Avantika is not here for a reason, as something has happened, and he will let his fans know the reason why she left.

Sourav Joshi opened up about the buzz surrounding his divorce 

On June 7, 2026, Sourav took to his YouTube channel and shared another vlog. He started the video by revealing that he was going to his wife Avantika’s home to pick her up. Later, in the vlog, he revealed the real reason why Avantika wasn’t there. He pointed out how people started questioning Avantika’s absence and wondered if their marriage had hit a rough patch. Many believed that Sourav and Avantika were heading for their divorce after Avantika’s continuous absence. When his youngest cousin, Kunali, asked him about Avantika’s absence, he replied that it was due to kala mahina. 

Sourav revealed that in their Pahadi culture, there is a kala mahina, where wives do not see their husband’s face due to the fear of inauspiciousness. He added that he had no idea about such rituals, but his family believes in them, so they have to follow. Sourav shared that kala mahina comes after every three years, so they had to follow it. He said:

“Ji haan guys, yeh reason tha jaane ka, gayab hone ka, pati ki shakal nahi dekhni hoti, saas ki aankh futt jaati hai. Itne din se dekha bhi nai tha vlog bhi nahi dekha tha. Mai toh waise maanta nahi hoon. Par maante hue aa rahe hai toh follow krte hai. Toh yahi reason tha Avantika ke jaane ka jo log kuch bhi soch rahe the ki kya hua, log bahut kuch bol rahe the. Kala mahina tha isliye.”

In the latest vlog, shared by Sourav Joshi on his YouTube channel, he and his wife, Avantika, reacted to the viral memes. Several users made viral memes from the snippets of their vlogs and made fun of them. But the two reacted to the same sportingly. However, when Avantika saw a meme, wherein Sourav Joshi was quickly picking ‘Kesar’ from the kitchen counter, she couldn’t control her anger.

Avantika slammed Sourav and asked him how quickly he picked the fallen saffron, but didn’t give a reaction when she fell down. She added that he could get another saffron from the market, but not another wife. Seeing the meme, Avatika quickly said:

“Is meme se toh mai agree karti hoon yeh toh bilkul sahi banaya hai jisne banaya hai. Itni tension apko mere girne par hui thi, kesar toh apne itni jaldi uthaya yun karke ki dusra kesar hi nahi mil raha hoga bazaar mein. Biwi mil jayegi tumhe dusri.”
