It all started after Kangana referred to Hrithik as a ‘silly ex’, and he took offence. Later, he denied any romantic involvement with Kangana while she kept admitting that they both dated. In an interview for India TV’s Aap ki Adalat programme, Kangana Ranaut addressed her affair with Hrithik Roshan and revealed what exactly happened. Kangana revealed that Hrithik willingly agreed to cheat on his wife Sussanne and told Kangana that their affair would remain private.
The actress also stated that she knew the reality of their relationship since the beginning, as he told her that he would never accept her publicly. Speaking about the same, Kangana said:
“I knew the reality when I entered into a relationship with him. It wasn’t as if I was fooled. He told me that he would never accept me publicly and the way things were in his family, he would never leave his wife. So I told him to leave me, but he didn’t want to do that either.”
Since Hrithik was not ready to marry Kangana, she didn’t sign for Krrish 3, but he kept persuading her for four months. But when Hrithik divorced his wife, Sussanne, he agreed to take his affair with Kangana out in the open. But when the duo met at Karan Johar’s party, she approached him to talk about their future, but he snapped, after which they broke up

There were many allegations in Hrithik and Kangana’s affair. Their spat took yet another turn when emails allegedly sent by Kangana to Hrithik show that she was probably in a one-sided affair that existed just in her imagination. Some of the emails submitted by Hrithik Roshan to the cops along with a police complaint against Kangana for mentally harassing him were leaked. As per Hrithik, the actress sent him thousands of emails over a period of six months.
In one of her emails allegedly sent by the actress to Hrithik on October 4, 2014, she penned, “I get up in the morning and first thing I google you. Try to find one new picture, one new interview, any news to start my day. I hope this routine ends soon and instead of googling you I could make a call to you, hear your voice, talk to you, and start my day.”
In another email, she asked the actor why he never answers her calls as she wrote, “It’s just that it’s too hard to be sending these mails and never hearing anything back. Why don’t you ever talk to me? What if someday I meet you and you tell me that you haven’t received anything, you don’t even know me, you never loved me. What will I do then?” On September 3, 2014, she wrote, “It’s just that it’s too hard to be sending these mails and never hearing anything back.”
While Kangana made claims that Hrithik was in a relationship with her, he even proposed to her in Paris. A police source said otherwise and revealed that the actress was interacting with an imposter for six months. As per the source:
“He has received over 3,000 emails from her, and we have established that no emails were sent to her from his email. His phone records prove that he has made four calls to her in seven years. His passport copies prove he was not in Paris when she claimed they’d got engaged. We are convinced he is innocent.”
While Kangana later revealed that every email that was leaked online was her genuine words to Hrithik as she expressed her love for him. Calling the invasion of her privacy a death to her and the most difficult phase of her life, Kangana said, ‘I really loved that man’.
