Despite a number of European shows being cancelled, including his Wireless Festival headline slot, Kanye West has announced his latest upcoming gig
Kanye West has revealed he will be taking to the stage again next month after his Wireless shows were cancelled. The controversial rapper was set to headline the festival in the summer, but the shows have since been pulled.
However, fans in India will see the musician legally known as Ye in Delhi. Taking to Instagram, Ye posted: “Ye live in India. New Delhi, 23 May 2026, 8pm Only performance in India. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.”
Weeks earlier, West’s UK announcement caused outrage. The backlash led to Keir Starmer calling the decision to have the American headline all three nights of the festival in Finsbury Park, North London, “deeply concerning”.

The Prime Minister said: “Anti-Semitism in any form is abhorrent and must be confronted firmly wherever it appears. Everyone has a responsibility to ensure Britain is a place where Jewish people feel safe.”
West was then blocked from entering the UK by the Home Office, leading to Wireless Festival being cancelled. And it wasn’t just the UK concerts that were cancelled. His concerts in Switzerland and Poland were also cancelled. Football club FC Basel, which takes responsibility for events at its stadium, St Jakob-Park, said that after a review, they too were cancelling his upcoming event.
In a statement, bosses said: “FCB received an enquiry and considered it. However, after thorough review, we have decided not to proceed with the project, as we cannot, in accordance with our values, provide a platform for the artist in question within this context.”
West was also scheduled to perform in Poland’s Silesian Stadium in Chorzów on June 19. It would have marked his first performance in Poland in 15 years.
However, this event was also cancelled following “formal and legal reasons”. Adam Strzyzewski, venue director for the Silesian Stadium, confirmed: “The concert by Ye (Kanye West), scheduled for 19 June 2026 at the Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium, will not take place due to formal and legal reasons.”
Going a step further, Poland’s culture ministry admitted they were looking at banning Kanye from performing in the country. Marta Cienkowska said that the musician’s “promotion of nazism” was in “manifest contradiction with Poland’s values.” Cienkowska also slammed West as a musician who “openly declares he loves Hitler”.
She went on: “Who promotes Nazi ideology and makes money by selling T-shirts emblazoned with the swastika. In a country marked by the history of the Holocaust, we cannot pretend that this is just entertainment.”
While West made the decision to postpone his French show, it came after huge resistance and pushes for it to be cancelled. French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez had pledged to explore “all possibilities” to ensure the performance in Marseille didn’t go ahead.
Marseille Mayor Benoît Payan also opposed the rapper’s visit to one of France’s most multicultural cities, which has a history of immigration stretching back centuries.
