Kate Cassidy got candid in a TikTok video as she admitted her most recent ‘situationship’ broke down because she can’t help but compare everyone she dates to her ex, Liam Payne.
Kate Cassidy has admitted she “hates” being single, just days after she was broken up with by her new partner because she kept comparing him to her ex, Liam Payne.
Following the breakup, which Kate announced on Tuesday, the 27-year-old confessed she was struggling to adjust to being on her own again.
Sharing a snap of herself beaming in a bikini to her social media, she told followers in the caption that it was a “fake smile”.
Kate revealed she’d been dumped in a TikTok video, telling her 1.8million followers: “I got dumped you guys. I have been super MIA on here about my updated dating situation, that is because I recently met someone.
“I felt like things were moving super fast, if you know me you know I have a tendency of moving fast.”
Going into more detail about her new beau, she said: “Let’s just call this guy Joe. Joe was really sweet and a lot of things I wanted in a guy. He’s super low key so he doesn’t have any social media, which I actually really liked.
“I met his family, he took me on trips, things were going really well, really quick. But I f***ed up.”
The new romance came just a year and eight months after Liam’s death, with Kate admitting it was hard to be with someone in the aftermath of such a tragedy.
“Dating after losing somebody that you genuinely thought you were going to spend the rest of your life with is really tough because I physically look for Liam in every single guy that I meet.
“If they don’t hit all the checkmarks I tend to, either back away or almost resent this person, and it’s so crazy,” she explained.
She then said things broke down after she found herself comparing ‘Joe’ to Liam, leading her to “get angry with him” during certain moments.
“I would physically get like ‘oh well Liam would do this so why aren’t you doing this?’ Or he would do something and I would be like, ‘Liam would never do that’.
“He texted me yesterday and told me we should go our separate ways because it’s just too much, and I understand,” she added.
“I feel sad because I don’t like losing people and I feel like especially in the beginning of a situationship it’s so fun and you’re so excited to see where it goes.”
Amid the breakup, Kate has been on a girls’ holiday to Montauk, New York, and on Friday she took to her socials to share a slew of bikini pictures.
