In a recent conversation with Olivia Attwood on her podcast Olivia’s House, Lottie Moss got candid about her strained relationship with her supermodel sister, Kate Moss. She revealed that they have ‘next to no relationship’. She said that they were never very close and have a distant relationship. According to Lottie, the supermodel doesn’t really want a relationship with her, and the two never developed a strong bond as sisters.
Lottie admitted that she felt ‘bitter and embarrassed’ that her sister would ignore her text messages and phone calls when she was growing up. Lottie explained that she and Kate, who have a 24-year age gap, ‘grew up in different times’ and they now ‘don’t have to all pretend to get along’. For the uninitiated, Kate and Lottie’s father, Peter, welcomed the supermodel and her younger brother Nick during his first marriage to Linda Shepherd.
Later, Peter went on to marry Inger Solnordal and welcomed his second daughter, Lottie Moss, into the world in 1998. Lottie shared that her relationship with Kate is complicated and thus she avoids talking about it as she believes it might upset Kate. Lottie shared that when people used to ask her about Kate, she could not answer them as they were distant. She said:
“We just didn’t really ever bond, and I think that’s okay, but it’s hard when you grow up, and people are like, ‘Oh my god, your sister’s got you this, your sister’s got you that, or how’s Kate?’ And I’m like, I don’t know. You can text her.”

During the conversation, Lottie Moss shared that she craved her sister, Kate, when she grew up. She called her the ‘coolest thing ever’. Lottie added that family is very important to her. She explained that with time, she understood friends can be family too. She was quoted as saying:
“I think I always craved when I grew up and I saw her modeling and all this I just thought she was the coolest thing ever and I just wanted a relationship with her. I’ve learned now that I’ve got friends that are like my family and that it’s OK that I don’t need to have that relationship.”
In a recent interview, Lottie said that she felt hurt for a long time because she believed Kate didn’t want a close relationship with her. She wondered why Kate did not want any relationship with her. Lottie admitted that when she had talked about their relationship publicly before, Kate became upset about it. Lottie added that she felt that she had the right to talk about her own experience because Kate is her sister, and this relationship also affects her.
Lottie shared that she has accepted that she and Kate may never be very close. She said they had never openly discussed their problems. It is worth noting that Lottie and Kate were once closer. For those unaware, Lottie was one of Kate’s bridesmaids. In 2011, Kate Moss got married to Jamie Hince. The supermodel had 12 bridesmaids at her wedding. Lottie and Kate’s daughter, Lila Grace, was among the 12 bridesmaids.
