Katie Price’s pride was unmistakeable as her son, Junior Andre, took to the stage to perform ahead of the Grand Prix in Monaco this weekend. 20-year-old Junior is in Monaco for the famous sporting event which kicks off on Sunday.
Katie and Peter Andre’s son is joined by his sister Princess and Kerry Katona’s daughter Heidi, both 18-year-old.
The mum-of-five took time out of her stressful life as she battles to get her husband, Lee Andrews, out of jail in Dubai, to praise her second-born son as he sang at a glam party.
Junior’s girlfriend Jasmine Orr, 25, who joined them on the holiday, shared a video of her man performing at an event in anticipation of the world-famous grand prix.
Katie reposted Jasmine’s clip to her Instagram stories, sharing with her followers that she was “so proud of my son”.
Junior has been fending off troll comments about him being a nepo-baby given his dad, Peter Andre, shot to fame in the 90s with his iconic song Mysterious Girl.
In an interview this week, he made it clear that he’s paving his own way into the industry without any help from his mum and dad.
Junior told The Mirror: “My dad was brought up very strict, so regardless of anything he says, ‘You’ve got to work son’.
“As much as he is there for me, and my mum is there for me, I don’t want handouts. I need to learn life the proper way.
“So when things get hard, instead of sitting there doing nothing I was like, ‘I need to do what I’ve got to do’. I threw mysekf in the deep end, but I never gave up on my dream.”
While Katie looked over-the-moon to be in the holiday hotspot supporting her son, things haven’t been plain sailing for her in recent weeks.
Lee Andrews, who Katie tied the knot with back in January, “went missing” in mid-May before emerging in a Dubai prison weeks later.
The former glamour model flew out to Dubai as she believed Lee would be released if he was able to pay a four-figure fine.
But after speaking to him, it emerged he was actually in need of a hefty “six figure sum” instead, after which Katie shared fears “he would not be released any time soon”.
A source told The Sun: “Katie is desperately trying to get Lee out of prison. Despite everything that’s gone on, Lee is her husband and Katie wants to get him out and get the answers she so badly needs. She has been to the prison a number of times now, including going there today, to try to get the paperwork and secure his release.”
The source confirmed that in order to be free and make his way out from behind bars, “Lee will have to pay more than £100,000. He is confident he can get the cash and has assured Katie she won’t need to pay anything,” the insider added.
