Katie Price shared an update on son Junior Andre’s 21st birthday plans, months after expressing frustration over her daughter Princess’ 18th celebrations
Katie Price has said she may not be allowed to attend her son Junior Andre‘s 21st birthday party, after previously claiming she was also barred from her daughter Princess Andre‘s 18th celebrations last year.
Speaking on the latest episode of her podcast The Katie Price Show, the 47-year-old discussed the topic of family parties with her sister and co-host Sophie.
Ahead of Junior’s milestone birthday in June, she said her and Peter Andre‘s son wanted to hold his celebrations at her house, but that she wasn’t invited.
She revealed: “Well Junior wants to have his 21st at mine and I’m not allowed to be here. He says, ‘It’s just for the boys mum’.” In response, Sophie noted that Junior had been seen on Instagram searching for an event decorator to “completely transform” a venue.
Addressing the post, Katie, who tied the knot with Lee Andrews in January, said: “Well, he’s probably looking for people who can dress it all and that, but I have said to him if you want balloons and this and that, I can organise it but he obviously, in his head, wants to know who can style it for his 21st.”
The former model’s comments come after she previously said she was not allowed at Princess’ 18th birthday celebrations filmed for the reality series, The Princess Diaries, last year.
Speaking on her podcast at the time, she said: “Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me. It’s pathetic. I’m her mother. It’s sad. Princess was like, ‘I’m having a party’. And I wasn’t invited because it was for filming.”
Addressing the situation on her show, Princess said: “I’m so tired, I literally woke up so early this morning and I had messages from my mum.” She went on to reference reports, including one which claimed Katie had been “banned” from her 18th birthday party.
“One, that is completely false and I would never say that about my mum. Me and my mum get on so well and we talk all the time. It’s just a little bit awkward and it has put me in an awkward situation,” she explained.
She went on to say: “My mum’s not even here. She’s in Dubai. I’ve never once said in public or private bad things about my mum.
“I would find it so awkward and weird if my mum and dad were in the same room. Mum’s not even here. I wouldn’t choose to have my mum and dad at a party at the same time anyway.”
The Celebrity Big Brother winner was previously represented by the same management team as Peter, his wife Emily, Junior and Princess, up until 2009.
A spokesperson for The CAN Group previously said: “As a company, our duty of care to our clients is paramount. We would never advise a client on their personal life unless asked and we have never stopped anyone seeing their families.”
