It was recently reported that the ongoing fears from those closest to Price has “taken the shine off” her relationship, with her sister, Sophie refusing to comment on the matter
Katie Price was told not to come to a family party over the Easter weekend amid “growing concerns” over her marriage to Lee Andrews.
The former glamour model married the Dubai businessman in January, but since tying the knot, it’s been claimed he’s a scammer who’s after Katie’s money. As The Mirror previously reported, Lee spent a period of three weeks in October last year, which he denied.
Last week, it was reported that the ongoing fears from those closest to Price have “taken the shine off” her relationship, with her sister, Sophie, refusing to comment on the matter. And tensions appeared to escalate during a recent recording of their joint podcast, The Katie Price Show, in which Katie revealed there “wasn’t enough room” for her at a family party.
Katie explained that her brother decided to go at the last minute, meaning there wouldn’t be enough room, and that she was told it would be “too loud” for son Harvey.
She told her listeners: “So I made my mother and that feel guilty – ‘You didn’t want me there!’ Mum has been messaging me, ‘I’m sorry’, all of this.”
Sophie went on to ask Katie if she thought it was “fair” to make their mum Amy feel guilty. Katie hit back: “Yeah – do you think it’s fair for me and Harvey not to come over on Easter Sunday?”
Sophie replied: “Look at you biting because you didn’t get your own way.” Katie then explained Harvey had made Easter cards for the family, but Sophie explained that the family weren’t informed about Katie’s plans, and it was left “last minute”.
Since their marriage, Katie has been flying out to Dubai to see Andrews, who is reportedly not allowed to leave the country. Despite the ongoing conflict in the United Arab Emirates amid the Iran war, Katie and her beau have been frequently sharing loved-up snaps during her visit.
And while she has no plans to move out to the UAE, it’s claimed that ongoing concerns from those closest to Price have “taken the shine off” her relationship. “The growing concerns from friends, fans, and particularly family members, who Katie is very loyal to, began to take the shine off,” a source said.
They added to The Sun: “The knock-on effect the war in Iran had on Dubai also made her realise how far away she was from home and she missed her kids, the toll was clear to see in her vlog when she snapped about staying in England and ruled out a permanent move to the Middle East.”
The source went on to explain that while Katie is still committed to Lee, her primary concern is her children and it’s not clear how the relationship will work long term.
Katie explained she won’t be moving over to the UAE with Lee, despite his claims that he purchased a £36million home in cash. In a since-deleted YouTube video, Katie insisted she would not be leaving the UK permanently.
She said: “I don’t know why people think I’m moving to Dubai. My family’s here. The husband is there, but the husband come here and I can go to Dubai when I can.”
Price had seemed to suggest prior to this that she was moving out to Dubai on a permanent basis, or at least considering travelling there more regularly. In another YouTube vlog, she told audiences: “I’ve got to sort out what I’m going to do with the animals because obviously Lee’s in Dubai and I’m going to keep going to Dubai and back.
“I’ve got 12 animals in the house. I know I like things excessive like big cars, big boobs, big bum, lots of animals, horses, this, that. I think I need to re-evaluate my life a little bit and just have a little think about everything.” Katie’s words also came after she and her sister released an episode of their podcast that left some fans concerned.
Since Katie got married, her family have been said to be concerned for the star. During the podcast, when Katie referenced her recent marriage to being something out of Married At First Sight, her sister Sophie managed a simple ‘hmm’ before calling her sister a “k***head”.
Katie laughed as she said she got to know her husband two weeks before, with Sophie looking off-screen as she shook her head. “I have no comment from me. No comment from me on that,” she said flatly.
